Dear gawd--help me for I have Zinned at Undici's. I have NEVER in my life moaned so loud whilst eating. I read the other review here about the ""greasy pool"" in the noodle dish--and, I know what they mean, but that is called BUTTAH--and, they do it right over there. \r
\r
Let me recommend to you that before you die, you try Undici's Gnocci--but, with butter sauce and parmesan. Ask them to go light on the butter or oils if you prefer. They don't offer the Gnocci with butter and parmesan on the menu specifically, but you CAN order it like that! Turns out, that the chef is world famous and has won international awards for his Gnocci. I've tried it 2 other ways there--and you JUST CAN'T GO WRONG. \r
\r
They also serve the best dirty martini's on earth (okay, wouldn't know that for a fact, but it feels like it!), and their service is UNCOMPARABLE! It is family owned and operated and you about get treated better by them than your own family :) \r
\r
Try the Tri-Calore salad and their Red Zin. Be prepared to Meg-Ryan like no other. Oh, and ask to be served by Andreas--he is wonderful. Everyone who works there is just so hospitable! \r
\r
Who cares about any waiting--just sit in the bar and enjoy yourself.\r
\r
Okay, I feel better now about spreadding the word...I've been there 4 times this month, alone!
Pros: Ambiance, SERVICE/HOSPITALITY, Gnocci
Cons: That the chef is not on call 24/7
