Finally, something reminiscent of my past: Italian family-style dining akin to Little Italy in the Bronx --- except Capurro's gives you a menu and let's you decide what you want to eat. Took mom to Capurro's and we both loved everything about it. I'm a huge pesto fan and you should NOT leave the restaurant without trying something on the menu that offers it: My favorite is the gnocci and pesto. The place is big and spacious and elegant (fine dining without killing the pocket book -- dates central) and the staff seems to go out of its way to make you feel like you're ""part of the family."" They also have a great jazz trio and their baked goods are ridiculously good (homeade, the waiter said) and there's parking in the back lot (which is crazy amazing for the wharf!). Overall, just loved the experience here. This is the last example of a true, not-so-touristic wharf dining experience.
