First of all, even the most mediocre restaurants in New York typically have AT LEAST a 45 minute wait on Saturday nights. If you expect to go to a great place like Dominick's on a weekend and wait only a half hour, you must not have eaten out in New York very much. But if the food is worth it, you wait (as I did tonight, waiting 45 minutes on a Wednesday night to get into Dominick's for the umpteenth time). The dude below knows nothing about food, especially since he thinks chicken marsala should be made with charonnay or something other than Marsala (hence the name). Marsala isnt ""made"" with white wine, it IS wine (sometimes white). The mushrooms are stewed in the wine for a very long time and the dish is very sweet.
Pros: Best Italian food in NY, inexpensive
Cons: Can get crowded, long waits
