I had a great experience at Skyline Hotel. The staff was pleasant and helpful compared to the typical New Yorker. The room was clean and very spacious compared to the typical New York hotel room. The location is convenient. This is no 5 star hotel you're getting, but you're not paying a 5 star price either. Over all it's a spectacular value. 1/2 price with 3/4 the service, you're still coming out 1/4 ahead!
