Having previously enjoyed take-out food from Ankara Cafe in the form of the vegetarian subs (most places make these rather plain, but Ankara does it right), chicken subs and shakes, I was content with Ankara in past times. However, that all changed recently when I ordered several Ankara pizzas for a party I threw. Never before have I been offended by pizza. Although it didn't directly insult my mother or pull down my pants in the schoolyard, it might as well have done so. To ruin a pizza is difficult - perhaps one hundred species of pizza have seen the likes of my taste buds over the years, all at least sharing part of the taste bell curve. Ankara's pizza, however, has it's own separate curve - lonely, near the origin of the graph, keeping company with black olive ice cream, warmed wilted spinach and corn flake stew, and aged milk. Proclaiming, "Ankara doesn't specialize in pizza" doesn't make it right either. Like Michael Jordan playing on a (semi) pro baseball team, Ankara's pizza serves injustice to society [in the form of sloppy government extra oily cheese, depressing toppings and flat flavorless bread]. It isn't safe. It isn't nice. It was the worst pizza I ever had. Ace Caden more
