UPDATE: came again for family day - don't bring your young kids when it's a zoo here. But, can't complain about the crowds cuz it is a destination spot (tho paying lines are terrible!). Not only do you get most items discounted, but you get quality, don't have to wait for those 1 day sales! When I visit the city, I have to make a stop in chinatown for dim sum (Congee Village), little Italy for italian ices (Ferrara's), Raku for Japanese food, & here for my shoes & other personal (ahem) items. On my last 8 visits, I have bought 8 pairs of shoes (starting to feel like Imelda Marcos!). Toiletries, kids stuff, kitchen & home stuff, dresses/blouses, ties & shirts & underwear, & other knick knacks - I have to save up for each trip here! And when I get the postcard for their sales, it's a trip worth taking!
