As a Dallasite who travels to Houston very often, this is usually the first restaurant I stop at. I mean, how many other barbecue places do you know of happen to serve jambalaya and jalapeno cheese bread? Their meats are very tasty and well-smoked. They have good sauce, but you don't really need sauce on THIS 'cue! The potato salad they have is far and away the best. Of the two locations in town, I recommend the Katy Freeway location because the seating is less cramped. I could eat here sixteen times a week and never get tired of it! This has to be one of the top five barbecue joints in the state of Texas. Don't miss this place if you're from out of town.
Pros: Excellent smoked meats and sides, cheese bread loaves to go, great value
Cons: Tight parking at both locations, not enough locations
