I was pretty shocked to see a wall of gift bags that were very familiar to me. I bought the the exact same set of 20 or so bags at costco for all of ~$15. At Posh they retail for $7 each!! I am a business person myself and know how this all works, but this struck me as absurd. A bakery doesn't sell their pastries for the cost of the inputs (flour, egg, etc.) because they are taking those raw materials and adding VALUE. The only value added here was in displaying cheap bags in a high-rent shop. For some reason that doesn't to me justify a 700% mark-up. If that's your business model - then you need to find more obsure suppliers, so your customers (who believe they are getting premium goods for the high price tag) are sucessfully fooled. I'm sticking to Costco!!
