If you believe that good Italian food requires lots of red sauce - this isn't the place for you. If you like Northern Italian cuisine and enjoy good wine, this is a must. The decor isn't in-your-face Italian, it is what you'd expect from a sophisticated restaurant. But it also isn't a we're-so-dark-so-your-date-doesn't-see-you-turn-red-when-you-get-the-bill place. No, it's not cheap, but you absolutely get what you pay for. And the service is friendly and knowledgeable, and the crowd is a great mix. And if you come in late, half the North End is in there because they have a late night menu.
