I was a regular at Bridgeport for ten years. Saturday I returned for the first time since the renovation. Unfortunately, it now fits perfectly in the Pearl District. The decor is sterile and plastic; gone are the days of the inviting, warm & rustic interior. Operational changes are an equal disappointment. You have to look at three menus before even sitting down and then you can't get pizza in the dining room. The service is impersonal. Our waiter was inattentive and did not seem to know the menu very well. Though the corporate owner (it's not even locally owned anymore) has given in to the greed surging through the neighborhood, at least they didn't change the beer.
Pros: cheap, good beer, good pizza
Cons: uncomfortable seats, crowded dining room, impersonal
