Beautifully designed restaurant, but the food is a big disappointment. This is not the Terra Cotta of a few years ago. The food has gone downhill big time. My margarita arrived with a long black hair in it. Food arrived luke warm. The stuffed poblano chiles did not have all the ingredients listed in the menu, i.e. the rice/shrimp stuffing was pure rice -- no shrimp -- and very pasty at that. Others at the table had similar mediocre experiences with the food. At the prices they charge ($20+ per entree) our expectations are for something better than diner food. This is not the first time we've been there; we go back hoping that each prior dinner may have been an off-night, but the food quality just gets worse and worse. Years ago Terra Cotta was a gourmet gem. They have retained their high pricing, but, sadly, downgraded food quality.
Pros: decor, location
Cons: food
