The scenery is breathtaking--no expense is spared. But when it comes to the food, you are better off going elsewhere. The food is bland, more American than French, and can be outdone by any local Red Lobster (I'm not a fan of Red Lobster either). There are places nearly as beautiful with wonderful food and service, both of which are lacking at La Caille. And I'm afraid that the waiters are clueless as far as etiquette is concerned. Gorgeous setting is worth the price, but the food does not match the grounds.\r

UPDATE: 8/2/07 - Service has improved, and the grounds are as immaculate as ever. Very impressive wait-staff. Filet was good, not incredible (see Ruth's Chris review if you want incredible). Wilted Spinach salad was good. Lobster Bisque was excellent. Bread was good. Irish Coffee was a spectacle to behold. Bananas Foster and Cherries Jubilee tasted horrible, but were fun. Overall, better than previous visits, impressive as ever, worth checking out once or to impress someone that isn't much of a food critic. :) Food still so-so.
Pros: Beautiful Grounds, Lights, Pond
Cons: Food
