Their burger lunch special ($5 combo = 8oz burger, fries and soda) beats the chains! Eagles was plagued with really poor service. They catered to regulars and you had to fight to order and get your food out. It wasn't unusal to see someone standing by the door trying to put order in as regulars come in, and say ""Hey, the usual"" or people waiting for a burger and regulars would swipe them. One time I took a regulars' burger, who cut in front of me, to see if I get caught and I wasn't.
But Eagles have updated their system (register at the end of the counter? How strange?), and they have friendlier staff now. If you live near Cleaveland Circle, you need to stop in and give their burgers a shot. If you had bad experience in the past, you should give them a shot.
