Visiting LA friends from Denver and this was our holiday dinner. We were the first people to arrive, but still asked to sit at the bar for 20 minutes before we were seated. We got a nice table very close to the rail with a fantastic view. The service wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great either. The waiter wasn't rude, but wasn't very attentive even though he didn't have any other tables to serve. Midway through our meal, a group with a toddler was seated next to us. Dad volunteered as he passed by "don't worry, he's a good kid" and then allowed the child to run yelling all over the whole patio with no objection by restaurant staff in spite of annoyed looks and explicit complaints. My salmon was excellent as was the traditional turkey dinner. On the other hand, the grilled portabella came out with 1 (one) measly mushroom cap on a plate full of garnish. None of us could believe it, especially for the huge price. My friend thought the rest of her meal was forthcoming but was told that was it. Overall it was a mixed bag- great view but overshadowed by an unruly unchecked toddler...some food great but some bad, really blah service.
