Unlike so many bars in SF, the Brick House is quiet and spacious, with nice wide booths to sit in. The wait staff is cool, laid back, and helpful. Beer prices are very low, with some $1 or $2 draft nights. The kobe beef burgers are enormous, a good deal for the reasonable price. This place will make transplanted Midwesterners (and anyone else) feel right at home.
