This is definitely a ""watered-down"" version of Indian food. In normal Indian restaurants, my friend tends to ask for her food to be ""mild"". Here, she asked for ""medium""...and complained that it was still way too bland! I asked for the spiciest they offer...and was sorely disappointed.
Our waitress was this American girl who couldn't pronounce half the food on the menu...let alone describe what it was. Thankfully, we knew REAL Indian food from our experiences elsewhere...we taught her what some of them was! I'm wondering if even the cooks in the kitchen were Indian, either.
If your idea of Mexican food is Taco Bell, or your idea of Italian is Olive Garden, then maybe this will be a good intro to Indian for you.
But if you want something authenic, there are many other options in the Triangle I'd suggest instead.

Cons: not spicy enough, too Americanized
