Burp Castle seems to have new ownership-- the monks are now cute (and cool) WOMEN (who sometimes wear the robes, but always act like angels) The new staff is friendly and fun to talk to -- but the best things about the place haven't changed--the chants, the beer, and the low-key ambiance. This is a great bar to go to if you want to talk to your date or friends.
The beer selection can't be outmatched. Kwak, Triple Karmeliet, Coresndonk, I've even seen St.Bernardus on tap. The bottle list is outrageous, and the taps are off the hook.
AND NOW THERE ARE HAPPY HOUR SPECIALS. Everything is a dollar off. Monday and Wednesday they have free belgian frites too. It's changed, but only for the better.
