Cortez is a lovely spot with creative food. Ok, it's pricey but if you were trying to save money you'd be at El Farolito tonight. I love the soup shots; they're small because they're rich. The salads are interesting, the meat dishes so tender. The waiters really know the menu, even if they aren't always the most elegant in town. Go here for a special night to celebrate with special people, don't hurry, and try a new wine. You'll go home wanting to become a better cook. I've gone back several times.
