Slow, indifferent brunch service 12/10/2006

We stopped in for brunch on a pretty crowded afternoon because the brunch prices were better than most in the neighborhood. While we waited for a table to open up, I ordered two bloody marys. The bartender said ""I'm not sure how much that is,"" did something on the register screen, and said ""that's 16.25."" I said ""so they're 8 dollars and 12 and a half cents apiece?"" ""Yep!"" She clearly added something we didn't order, but since she didn't understand math, it seemed perfectly reasonable to her.\r \r Our omelet plates only cost 75 cents more than our drinks, but they took forever to come out. In the meantime, the waitress didn't bring the included biscuits and strawberry jam. When our omelets came and still no biscuits, I asked her if we could get the biscuits, and she said ""sure"" as if I had just asked for ketchup. She brought out little blueberry muffins, sans jam, and said without apology that they were out of the biscuits.\r \r Then the bill took forever and we left... forever. Pros: The food was fine, if not always what we ordered. Cons: Indifferent service, overcharged for drinks, didn't tell us they didn't have something we ordered until we asked about it. more
