I accidently found Brooklyn Aikikai while surfing the net, in hope of finding yet another activity for our son to partake in. I was amazed and pleased, to see/feel the positve aura that the dojo has. You see, the dojo isn't overwhelmingly laced with huge trophy cases, like you find in most other dojos. Instead, what you find is history, tradition, and honor for the art of Aikido. Our son has been training since he was three, and two years later, he is as enthusiastic today, as he was his first day. He is stronger, more agile, and very much aware of how his Aikido training relates to the other activities he's in (school, swimming, gymnastics, music, soccer and basketball). This wasn't an accident afterall. Parents, one thing that I know for sure, is that attitude reflects leadership. I guarantee, you will not be disappointed with Savoca Sensei's style, not just in his Aikido practice, but also his people skills, which trickles all the way down to our children. Brooklyn Aikikai is truly a wonderful place for all.
Pros: Super thumbs up!!! Approachable and dedicated staff, engage children of all levels.
