Dinner has been excellent every time and we've been there about once a year since 1979. We had an awkward and unpleasant experience in the Wild Turkey Lounge, though, and as a result, my parents won't return. The 4 of us were each on our second drink and were enjoying the complimentary olives, celery, and cheeses when a wait person or a manager came over to us and asked the men what our intentions were. We were dumbfounded. We said we were on a waiting list to be seated but that they had told us that it was very busy that night. Essentially, we were hoping to eat dinner there but weren't certain if we would be able to and the men were checking with the hostesses downstairs periodically. The drinks are $7 or $8 apiece and we didn't feel we were ""freeloading"" on the food. We'd been there about 20 to 30 minutes. We honestly have no idea what the waiter (or manager) was upset about, but we felt we were paying customers, and we were certainly quiet in our conversations and we were well-dressed. Perhaps he wanted our seats for someone who had definite reservations for dinner. It was indeed crowded and there were people looking for seats in the bar. We felt very uncomfortable, unwanted, embarrased, and insulted. We paid the bill for the four drinks and left. It truly ruined our evening to be treated in that manner and to be totally mystified as to the reason why.
