It has been a new tradition in my family now to eat out on Christmas Eve, so we don?t have to fight over whose house to celebrate at and no one has to clean up a mess after. So each year as Christmas draws closer we decide on a fine restaurant to celebrate for our annual Christmas Eve dinner. We chose Ruth Chris in Pasadena this year and it was the apex of our Christmas Eve dinning experience thus far. There were 7 of us and we were seated in a private dining room that was round and dome like with a round table perfect for a family dinner. It was nice to be in a private setting and made us feel like we were at home on Christmas Eve. Our server, Karla Elizondo was most informative, pleasant and paid full attention to us. Her demeanor was calming and relaxed us all. She was definitely a reason to come back. The food spoke for itself, from cocktails made with fresh juices, to wonderful sides served family style and steak that melts in your mouth! Everyone at the table enjoyed every bite. We topped off our meal with champagne and Creme Brule for dessert which was the perfect ending to a wonderful, not to be forgotten night. I don?t think we?ll need to search for a restaurant next year for Christmas Eve dinner! I?d like to make our reservations for 2007 now!
