I was reading the other reviews to see if I could find a little insight into parking in the Warfield neighborhood. But I saw the other reviews for the Warfield and thought I'd give it a bit of a shout out. I've only seen about five shows at the Warfield, but enough to say that I agree it's an established SF venue. I've never had a negative experience at the Warfield due to its staff. I respect the opinions of the other people that wrote reviews, but I am of the opinion that I go to a show to see the band that's playing and a bitchy bar-keep couldn't keep me away from seeing a band or artist that rules. The reality is that the Warfield books great acts it's the biggest venue in SF that is remotely intimate it's not the Fillmore but nothing is. It's also not Slim's, the Great American, Bottom of the Hill or the Independent which are all great venues but those places don't book acts like Seal, the Strokes, the Hives, etc.
The only advice that I would give, that if possible, get floor tickets, I've had balcony seats for some shows and do feel that the floor has better sound.
