My husband and I recently tried Bentley's and were really surprised by the small portion sizes. He ordered the crab cakes, which were served with 3-4 small pieces of asparagus. We eat out frequently and have been to many of the up scale restaurants in the Triangle and generally the price of the entree seems to correlate with the portion size. This did not appear to be the case at Bentley's. I had the Carolina seafood and pasta dish (3 mussels, 4 clams, several small pieces of fish, 3 jumbo shrimp, 3 scallops) which was a better portion size and less expensive than the crab cakes. Needless to say I shared with my husband. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and service at Bentley's and liked the flavor of the food, but would hesitate to return because of the small portion sizes for the price they charge.
