Went there with a group, had fairly high expectations, turned out even better than I hoped. Sushi was really great whether the funky rolls or more straight up nigiri. A lot of ""hip"" sushi bars let me down as they're just overdone roll factories without any respect of tradition. The o-toro, geoduck and aji were the best I've ever had. The user-friendly rolls did well among my less adventurous friends, and though not cheap, the quality and portions were a great value (nigiri cuts are pretty big, too). Besides the sushi, the other food was much better than I had hoped for - especially the 5-spice duck a la orange made with Chinese flavors (had this forbidden rice risotto - waiter told us a cool story about how it used to be only for the emperor of China). Good wine list too. Wish it were a bit brighter - hard to read the menu. Definitely heading back soon.
Pros: great sushi, well-priced wine list, creative but user-friendly
Cons: 4 point font on wine list (small prices = small text??)
