Haha, that last review was funny; I was there on friday and think I remember seeing that guy... It was definetely a different scene than the other times I've been there. I asked a bartender and he said there was some fundraiser going on -- so I'm definetely not gonna knock a nightclub for giving some not-so-trendy nonprofit people a place to have their event. After dinner @ Le Colonial, my friends and I came back and it was the usual Cellar madness: cute, financial district guys and 80's, 80's, 80's on the dancefloor.
I would definetely give Cellar another chance -- it always goes OFF around 11:30 or midnight; and pretty much all nightclubs rent out their space during early hours. I've heard that you have to pay close to nothing to have an early event there, probably why so many non-profits pick it.
