The quality of the food @ Nobu is very good overall , but the way the ingredients are prepared lacks refinement (which does not justify the price). The service is friendly & usually spot-on but be careful for hidden fees (edamame set out @ table before introduction is not complementary - costs $5.50). I did order the $100 omakase. The raw fish courses (sans sushi) were tasty but unbalanced. The hot courses were disappointing - black cod cooked unevenly, toro (gave me scraps). Sushi: fish excellent but too much rice/too sweet. Dessert: wonderful - flouress chocolate cake w/ green tea ice cream. Conclusion: excellent if it were $60, mediocre for $100
Pros: good service, nice design, energetic crowd
Cons: too expensive, very loud, mediocre chef
