I went to Solera tonight on the basis of the previous reviews. It's Wednesday and the place was mostly empty except for two tables and one person at the bar. After eating, I could see why. I ordered 4 plates. The pork ribs were tough, the asparagus lobo was too chewy with oversalted sauce, the scallops with serrano ham was extremely salty to the point of being nearly inedible. The duck with mushrooms was okay. Overall, It's like the cook was using the recipe without knowing the right proportions of the ingredients or how long to cook the food. I'm on business travel. I don't mind the prices, but the food was terrible. I can't imagine how it won a top award.
On the upside, nice interior decor and the bartender/wait staff were attentive.
