I've been to FuGakYu 5 or 6 times, and each time I try something different, I am not dissapointed. The food is absolutely amazing, though the menu can be pretty daunting the first time you look at it. The unagi (eel) sounds frightening, but it has become my favorite. Service has always been very good, although it can be alittle slow on particularly busy nights. Expect a very long wait (of up to two hours) on weekends and some weeknights! Fortunately, the wait is worth it. Prices can be pretty expensive, but Japanese food is usually very expensive anywhere you go. There's a tiny sushi place around the corner with very similar prices to FuGakYu without the atmosphere. The decor is absolutely beautiful and authentic.
