We went here for my birthday. The waiter took our drink orders and we started with martinis. We wanted to have wine for dinner, but the waiter was only interested in selling something high-end ($100+). When I asked for feedback of a wine in a bit lower price range, it was obvious that the waiter's interest level in us dropped a few notches. Also, the wine was brought out while we still had our unfinished martinis on the table (big no-no), by the owner no less! The food was average, but perhaps we didn't pick the best thing on the menu. I didn't necessarily feel like we were getting rushed out the door, but I didn't exactly feel like we were invited to stay as long as we wanted, either. No doubt, turning over tables in a small space on 45th St. is important for their business.
