An Irish style bar in faux downscale East Village fashion hell. Packed inside, there was a table or two outside. It's a place for NYU jocks who are intimidated by the noserings and sleeve tattoos in the other local bars. One waitress manages all the tables. She didn't seem to be having an easy time of it. I ordered their version of Chicken Pot Pie. It arrived sometime the same day with a single napkin. Another Drink Clubbers used it to blow his nose.I was left with none... or an unpleasant choice. I requested a few more. A clean plate, two beers and a toilet visit later (the next day, actually), the napkins arrived. The beer was good, and the waitress-- what we saw of her-- was friendly. The outside garden is pleasant. Just make sure you have lots of time. --Drink Club is a roving group of Manhattan drinkers
Pros: outdoor garden, good beer choice
Cons: slightly expensive, SLOOOOW service
