I read the other reviews, and this may not be the place for you if you want an Americanized Japanese restaurant. Yes, there is a bar with cigarette smoke. The food, service, people, and atmosphere are very authentic Japanese, and the food is delicious. Humble, friendly, great variety, truly authentic. Ask for the sushi chef's recommendation or special. Don't skip the hot sake and Japanese beers.
