Tangierino has exceptional food -- great tagines and succulent lamb dishes. But here's my beef with them: Their wine list blows. I called once about a corkage fee (so I could bring a bottle) and was told that I could. When I showed up for dinner, they refused to open my Brunello. I went there again recently and the bartender argued with me about a Bordeaux I was considering. Apparently Bordeaux is a new ""grape"" similar to ""fume blanc."" Hmm. On this occasion, we followed dinner with a stop in the hookah lounge. Apparently, the host, our waitress and the menu failed to tell us there was a $20 per person spending minumum in the lounge. I'm sorry -- I prefer to drive home sober. The food is always good, but the alcohol and hence the evening overall always disappoints.
Pros: Ambience, Privacy, Good value
Cons: Bad wine list, Inexperienced staff, Bending over lo table
