Henry Ford did us all a favor when he began collecting history buildings and gathered them together at Greenfield VIllage. In the span of a handful of yards you can walk through Edisons Lab from Menlo Park to the Wright Brothers Bicycle Shop where they invented the airplane. You can see homes from the colonial times, a southern plantations, Noah Websters home, slave quarters, etc. Just about every era of American History is covered. You can ride an antique Model T or watch artisans make pottery/candles/brass works. It takes an entire day just to see everything at the park. Docents in period costumes add to the "flavor". It really is amazing to see so much history and walk through the actual buildings were world-changing events really took place.
