This store is an excellent place for finding what you need when it comes to books. Novels, instruction manuals, even sheet music, you can find it here. The staff is courteous, the shelves are well stocked, the place is kept clean, and its as quiet as a library. Unlike some other local stores, B&N keeps it's shelves stocked - you'll be hard pressed to find a customer-accessible shelf outside of the childrens' section that is empty.
When it comes to special orders, they're fast, efficient, and best of all, they actually call when your order comes in. Even though another national retailer has a customer loyalty program that provided rewards for an amount purchased in addition to a discount, and Barnes and Noble only provides the discount, his store is my first choice for local booksellers, hands down. My only regret is that the seating is usually full when I'm visiting.
PROS: Well stocked, well lit, friendly staff.
CONS: More seating would be nice.
