Over the years, we've eaten here several times. The pizza is deep dish and very good. The crust is thick but not doughy. The toppings are quality and flavorful. Seating is cramped and being as how the building is old and the ceilings tall, very noisy. The wait between the salad(average),bread(good) and the pizza is very long. If you are dining alone bring a book. Our last dining in experience at Old Chicago will be our last. The waitress (not too friendly to begin with) spilled my Sangeovese in my lap and did not even offer an apology. The wine list is quite good and beer selection adequate for a pizza joint. When I brought this to the attetion of the manager, she said I had spilled the wine and offered no satisfaction. Completely unproffesional. There is a takeout branch accross town. I strongly suggest going there.
Pros: food, value, wine list
Cons: service, noise, seating
