I'm always looking for authentic barbecue--something to take me back to my Texas roots. After a bit of research, my boyfriend and I stumbled across Bo's in Lafayette. Before going, we did a ""drive by"" and the smell coming from the kitchen was DIVINE. Upon arriving, the owner we received a complimentary glass of wine -- an extra effort that was appreciated, particularly since the line is rather long on most days. I was a bit disappointed that slaw and beans weren't on the menu. And equally surprised that baked potatoes -- or potatoes of any kind weren't available. And neither was cornbread! Afterall, these are staples of an authentic barbecue restaurant! The service was a bit slow as well. But overall, I would definitely give Bo's a huge thumbs up as the brisket and Ribs are fab!
Pros: great brisket, great sauce, good bear/wine select
Cons: no baked beans, no baked potatoes, no cornbread!
