I dined at the "Castle" a number of times in the the 70's and 80's and it was a favorite for this routine visitor to the city. After a 20 year hiatus, it seemed perfect for a reunion with an old friend. Sadly, mistaken I was. Service was perfunctory as best. It was a slow night and I suspected the waiter would have preferred the night off. When I asked to have my chair replaced due to an umholstery nail sticking into my leg, he seemed anoyed but, at the second request, switched the chair moving the bad one to another table to the peril of some future diner. He sniffed at our decision to order wine by the glass and my date's request for sauce on the side put him over the edge. Hey, the view's great.
Pros: Lots of history, Amazing views
Cons: Lousy service
