We visited the Baton Rouge Zoo on a recent vacation and was very impressed with it. It is a very large zoo and they have every type of animal that you would every want to see! We visited on a cooler day so there weren't many people there which was great but I can imagine tons of people there on a nice day. They also have a train ride that takes you around the zoo. Our train broke down though but it didn't take long for someone to come fix it and for us to be on our way.
