The Oysters Rockefeller was disappointing. Rockefeller Oysters are supposed to be covered in a sauce of spinach puree, seasonings, Pernod, and broiled to bubble in their shells. Gumbo's presentation was just small oysters in the shell with seasoned bread crumbs and a spinach leaf...Poor! The Gumbo is very good however, and the waitstaff is eager to please. I suggest that Gumbo's invest in a good New Orleans cookbook!
Pros: valet parking, good service, very good gumbo
Cons: not authentic cajun, poor oyster recipes, mediocre shrimp
