We like to buy from local businesses, and appreciate the good service. But when we picked out two fans at TCF to go on a screened porch, the salesman neglected to tell us they must be oiled, they are not rated for outdoors, and they require a special junction box. Had we known, we wouldnt have bought them. We took them back (still in boxes) and asked for a refund, and were told in-store credit only. When we protested that we hadnt been given full information about the fans, the salesmans response? I guess you werent listening when I told you. The owners response? Its the customers responsibility to ask questions about the fans. Great customer service, huh? We wish wed bought the fans off the internet or at a home improvement storethe service couldnt have been any worse, and at least we could have gotten our money back.
