I also drove down from LA to costa mesa to look for my wedding gown. I had been to many shops already and hadn't found "the gown". The salesgirl was so helpful - all i really had to do was tell her what i liked and didn't like. She brought me several gowns to try on - I didn't have to browse through racks after racks trying to envision the gown on me. Her selections were right on the dot - exactly what i was looking for. The prices are higher though and they do rip tags for non-couture designers. But if you ask them, they will usually tell you what designer you're trying on. Make an appointment as they only service by appointment. Also, the alterations are very pricey there so I would shop around for an independent seamstress.
