I agree with other reviewers that The Kitchen is small and crowded at peak hours, overwhelming the waitstaff. In my experience, solo diners can get lost in the shuffle.
That being said, I go out of my way to have lunch here on weekends when it's less packed, mostly for the Belgian beef stew (cooked in beer, served with spinach and mashed potatoes), sophisticated comfort food for which I have developed a serious perpetual craving. Recommended with reservations.
