I love that Cedars is a tradition in the U district and that they have such delicious food. However, the service sucks! Although there are plenty of waitpersons around and they are attentive, one sees a significant turnover. Don't mind the constant refills of perhaps the best chai in the city. Do mind when they decide you've had enough condiments (for which you paid a surcharge) and take them away when you're less than half way through your meal. (If you want to CONTROL the amounts, dole them out!) I don't think it's the wait personnel that is small, petty and controlling. They try to push their customers around. God knows what it's like to be their staff! I feel sorry for the wait personnel caught in the middle. Their food is not cheap! Why do they cut corners with their customers?
I'll never go back again.
