Just had a new year's eve dinner with my wife last night at the Sunset Restaurant. Have been going there for years for special occasions and although I was disappointed some years back with the service, it has since improved. The food is excellent. The shrimp cocktail is very meaty and tasty. I always get the filet mignon, which is consistently prepared exactly to my liking. It is ""melt-in-your-mouth"" tender and juicy. And they provide a complimentary crackers and cheese basket and a veggie plate when you sit down. The downer is the place is packed on holidays and they don't take reservations on holidays, so a wait could be an hour-plus, but it is well worth it. The atmosphere is cozy and the wife thinks it is very romantic in the fireside room--I can agree with that.
