My husband and I recently took some business colleagues to Rey's for the first time. Our first impression was nice, as the lounge is an inviting place to have a drink by the fire. While the atmosphere was nice in the dining room, there was a noticable absence of background music. I ordered filet mignon, and found it to be extremely overcooked and tough to chew. I would have sent it back, but I did not want to draw attention to it while entertaining guests. Though friendly, the waiter was more suited to a casual dining restaurant..his level of expertise did not rise to the high end menu. Overall, a very discouraging first visit. I don't think we will return unless it is only to the bar. We tried to really like it as we love to support independant restaurants. In the end, it came up short.
Pros: Inviting lounge
Cons: Bland food, Mediocre service
