we've become so disenchanted with Tama, and it's really a shame. the first time we went it was fantastic, Tama himself served us and concocted many delicious and unusual things that we hadn't even tried before. in our minds we even compared him to Nozawa, but with a lower price tag. we went two more times after that, bringing friends with us. the next two times were SUCH a disappointment. Tama was inattentive, the sushi was mediocre at best, and the service was 10 times slower than usual. i usually like to finish with ikura depending on where i go, and was served salty, soft eggs instead of the firm ones i was expecting. NO reputable sushi "chef" would ever serve you something that's not fresh. that was it for us. too bad.
