I'm a big fan of authentic sushi joints as I lived in Tokyo for some time... Beluga is more like a place you'd see in New York or LA-- and that's surprising for a place like Round Rock.
They're not nouveau fusion.. and they're not traditionalists, either. They're more into looking the part of a metropolitan sushi house. The sushi itself is decent and I doubt most of the locals know that much about sushi in the first place. It's better than the other places in the area, so for that count, I'd recommend it.
Do yourself a favor and get yourself an Ahi (Tuna) Tower. Good stuff. They never have Bluefin Kama Toro-- it's expensive and I suppose it's just not worth carrying at a place located in the heart of the suburbs, but if they had it only once a week on special-- I'd be there!
Overall, B.
Pros: Ahi Tower, Nobo's Special, Specialty Rolls
Cons: Untrained Servers, Unfortunate Location, The Uni
