During peak winter months (Dec 15.- Mar.), 4 days out of 7 have strong winds and poor visibility, goggle scraper and warm waterproof gear are a must. The proximity to the ocean brings lots of wet weather, sometimes you see freezing mist, sometimes rain, most days are snowing.
If you are looking for fresh powder turns, get there early. The locals know the stashes and good spots, and most are tracked by noon.
If you are looking for serious terrain, look elsewhere. There are no cliff drops, and the summit is closed due to weather conditions 75% of the season.
It is a great place to learn however, and the lifts are fast and efficient. The scenery when visibility permits is breathtaking.
