My girlfriend and I went to Bacar after a night of theatre. We were promptly seated. The wait staff was extremely attentive and knowledgeable about the wines and menu. The wine list was extensive. We had the white corn chowder, black mussels, sea bass, rack of lamb and panna cotta. The food was fantastic and it exceeded our expectations. So good we were full but could not stop eating. The décor reminded me of restaurants in NYC and the live jazz made the environment complete. It was one of the best dining experiences in the Bay Area. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Pros: food, wine, staff
Cons: none
